Android Developer, Permanent (Liverpool)

Our digital products are global, regularly reach the #1 App Store spot, and break new ground in fan interaction. We're looking for a mid-weight Android developer with 2-3 years minimum experience to join our new Liverpool studio to deliver cutting-edge fan experiences in sports and entertainment. 

 

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Developing apps and new components for our Android products
  • Working in one of our scrum teams to deploy new versions of TV and sports apps

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 2-3 years Android experience
  • Excellent knowledge of core Android development concepts, Java, Git and Agile development approaches
  • Team spirit and great communication
  • Experience of real-time client/server applications
  • Committed, disciplined and professional attitude

    Digital Producer, Permanent, London

     
     

    We're looking for a mid-weight digital producer with 3-5 years of experience in managing digital product development within media or technology industries. 

    Digital producers at Monterosa get to develop and deliver some of the most successful apps globally within entertainment and sport. A combination of project management, product management, creative development and client communication, Monterosa producers are the multi-talented driving force behind all of our client projects. 

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • A background in digital product management, production or project management within a digital/mobile agency or TV environment
    • Delivery experience of mobile web and native iOS and Android apps
    • Agile experience, as scrum master or equivalent
    • A fan of the lean startup philosophy
    • Customer focus and positive, can-do attitude
    • Commercial understanding of the business context in which you work
    • High-level technical understanding, comfortable in a dev team standup
    • Excellent written skills in English
    • Fluency in other European languages a plus, but not a requirement
    • Strong communication skills: running meetings, pitching ideas, phone calls with clients
    • Calm and proactive approach
    • A sharp eye for detail and quality

      Tech Lead / Senior Full-Stack Engineer, Permanent (London)

      We're looking for either a senior developer or established tech lead who wants to take on technical architecture and delivery leadership of a range of exciting projects in entertainment and sport. This is a great opportunity to take a step up and lead the creation of massively scalable, resilient global applications. 

      Leading a multi-skilled development team you will be working alongside producers, designers and testers, delivering mobile apps, websites and scalable back-end services for the most high profile clients in entertainment and sports. 

      We work with a wide variety of technologies across devices, platforms and infrastructure types; as such this is a great role for someone with full-stack background, mobile experience but who would like exposure to new technologies such as AR and conversational interfaces as they emerge.

      WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

      • Working in agile development teams in both UK and Minsk delivering amazing native apps, web-based products and backend services for our clients in sport and entertainment
      • Working with a wide range of technologies including iOS, Android, React Native, ARKit, ARCore, JavaScript, Socket-based client/server comms, low-latency video streaming, AWS, NoSQL databases and our in-house platform LViS. 
      • Design solution architectures top to bottom: from UI to deployment and monitoring strategies
      • Participate in client-facing meetings, liaise with customer tech teams to agree interfaces with their systems
      • Work with producers to prepare project documentation
      • Write user stories together with producers
      • Plan and estimate project resource, track progress and flag up potential issues
      • Explain technical story details and acceptance criteria to developers

       

      WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

      • 6+ years of development experience and/or tech team leadership 
      • Leadership qualities
      • Problem-solving capabilities

      • Experience of real-time client/server applications
